There is still a lot of work to be done in creating equal opportunities for us all. At Estrid we are far from perfect, with only 17% of our employees being women of color.

The Estrid Grant 2021 recipient has been chosen! Click here to learn more.
At Estrid we believe in diversity and inclusion. One of our brand values is to be ”in it together” and we truly believe that when we support each other, amazing things happen.
We acknowledge that it is not an even playing field. Women of color, women of different backgrounds and non-binary individuals face inequities and roadblocks that are barriers to achieving dreams, and in some cases to even daring to dream at all. Which is why we have created The Estrid Grant.
We want to see more women of color in leadership roles, more women and non-binary individuals in positions of power, more opportunities for women, and non-binary individuals who’ve recently arrived in Sweden to dream, and dream big. This list is far from complete. The Estrid Grant is one small step in addressing the disparities through investing in initiatives that support the women and non-binary individuals in our most underserved communities.
We are distributing a total of 100 000 SEK to individuals who are creating opportunities for under-represented, marginalized women and/or non-binary individuals in Sweden through initiatives, big and small, that contribute to closing the gap and setting a better precedent for future generations.
In your application please share with us:
An explanation of your proposal
Outline how it supports underserved communities of women and non-binary individuals in Sweden
Detail the ways in which the grant will help you achieve your goals or further your work
Please upload any relevant documents that support your application such as an Instagram account, pertinent media coverage, or anything else you think we should know. In addition to receiving funding, your project will be showcased on Estrid’s social media platforms.
Applications will be open from March 3rd, 2021 until March 25th, 2021.
Each submission will be reviewed by a jury consisting of Estrid founder Amanda Westerbom, Estrid COO Mia Hemmingson, Amie Bramme Sey and Fanna Ndow Norrby of the Swedish podcast “Raseriet” and Hajan Jabar, founder and creative manager of the production company Meraki. Once final decisions have been made we will announce the grant recipient on April 1st, 2021. Please note that in order to receive funding recipients must have a Swedish personal number.

We understand the importance of investing in women and non-binary individuals. But we also acknowledge our shortcomings. Our team is not as diverse as it should be, and that is something we pledge to keep working on. If you’d like to learn more about the actions we are taking to address this, scroll down to our FAQ.
