For a slightly more comfortable waxing experience, we recommend taking a tiny break from all retinoid skincare for 2-5 days before waxing as they tend to make the skin a little more sensitive.

Before you get started, if you have recently shaved, the wax strip won’t pick the hair up. So, check the length of hair you are waxing because our wax strips work best on hair about 2mm grow out or more - that’s approximately the thickness of a penny.

__Step 1. Prep your skin:__ If you’ve just showered, moisturised, or exercised, wait 10-20 minutes. Basically, any moisture or sweat on the body will make the wax less effective.

__Step 2. Keep it cool:__ Slowly and steadily pull apart the wax strips to ensure that the wax is evenly distributed. Keep the wax at room temp or cooler - no need to warm them up by rubbing them between your hands - our soft gel wax is ready to use straight out of the pack.

__Step 3. Know your angles:__ Place a strip on one side of your upper lip, chin, cheeks or eyebrows, following the natural angle of the contour area. Then, firmly press down the strip and massage it with the heel of your hand.

__Step 4. Hold tight:__ Make sure to hold your skin taut at the base of the strip with one hand. Using the other hand to pull the strip quickly and close to the skin. Repeat these steps on the other side of your face.

__Step 5. Take a breather:__ If you find yourself needing to repeat this more than twice it’s a good idea to stop and revisit the next day, just to avoid any irritation. Use a post-wax wipe to soothe and calm the skin and add serum for extra anti irritation support.

Once you’ve waxed where you want to, it’s normal for your skin to be a bit red for up to 24 hours. Our nourishing cleansing post-wax wipe works wonders to calm the skin and to wash away any excess residue.

Be careful not to touch the freshly waxed area with your hands after waxing, as your pores will be open and more susceptible to bacteria and dirt build up.
