There is still a lot of work to be done in creating equal opportunities for us all. At Estrid we are far from perfect, with only 17% of our employees being women of color. We acknowledge that it is not an even playing field. Women of color, women of different backgrounds and non-binary individuals face inequities and roadblocks that are barriers to achieving dreams, and in some cases to even daring to dream at all. Which is why we have created The Estrid Grant.

We want to see more women of color in leadership roles, more women and non-binary individuals in positions of power, more opportunities for women, and non-binary individuals who’ve recently arrived in Sweden to dream, and dream big. This list is far from complete. The Estrid Grant is one small step in addressing the disparities through investing in initiatives that support the women and non-binary individuals in our most underserved communities.

We are distributing a total of 100 000 SEK to individuals who are creating opportunities for under-represented, marginalized women and/or non-binary individuals in Sweden through initiatives, big and small, that contribute to closing the gap and setting a better precedent for future generations.
